Introduction

This virtual classroom seminar assumes an understanding of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme, and offers practical guidance and tips on the presentation of claims and dealing with both the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority and the First Tier Tribunal for Criminal Injuries Compensation.

This live session addresses the challenges that arise in representing a wide variety of victims of violent crime and achieving best outcomes for them when faced with the restrictions of a statutory Scheme which is administered by a public agency. The most effective approaches to be taken will be considered in conjunction with relevant case studies where appropriate.
