Introduction

For clients who run out of money to fund their care, they will need to turn to the local authority's social services department for support.

This is not simply dependent on having limited resources, but also having sufficient needs to meet the eligibility criteria.

This new virtual classroom seminar will consider how to successfully obtain support from social services to meet the adults needs.

It is suitable for fee earners who advise vulnerable adults, their family, attorney, or deputy.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • What services are free?
  • When and how to obtain an assessment of needs
  • Ensuring a good assessment is undertaken
  • What are eligible needs?
  • When the local authority is under a duty to meet needs
  • How the local authority may meet needs
  • What must be included in a care plan?

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
