Kinship Leave - Options & Benefits Explored
Introduction
Kinship leave is leave for those who unexpectedly find themselves looking after a child of a relative and is usually when a child can no longer live with their parents as determined by a court.
There is no statutory provision relating to this type of childcare related support, so employers are not obliged to give any leave (paid or unpaid) to an employee who suddenly finds themself as a kinship carer.
There are no plans for the government to tackle this problem, so what could / should an employer do in these circumstances?
This webinar will look at the options available to employers and will explain why offering this support is a win/win for both employers and their staff.
