Introduction

The Financial Reporting Council have flagged cash flow statements as an area where considerable improvement is required several times, including issuing a Thematic Report on the topic.

This virtual classroom session is designed to point you in the right direction so you can get it right first time and produce good quality, effective statements.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • Summary of key requirements of IFRS (IAS 7) and how these compare with FRS 101 and 102
  • What is cash and what is a cash equivalent - how to get the scope right
  • The three main categories of cash flow explained and what should and can be included under each heading - operating, financing, investing
  • Problems around definition including demand deposits, cash-in-transit, uncleared sums and crypto-currencies
  • Dealing with more unusual transactions and typical problem areas such as leasing and business acquisition
  • Presentation points and other required disclosures including the link to financial risk disclosures

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
