RICS Ethical Standards - What You Need to Know
Introduction
There is an ever-increasing requirement on professionals to demonstrate that they are putting principles of ESG at the centre of their business, not just to satisfy their regulators but also for the reassurance of their clients.
In October 2021, the RICS published its Rules of Conduct, which apply to all members across the globe. Whilst the rules became effective from 2 February 2022, many surveyors are still not familiar with their requirements, a serious breach of which may give rise to disciplinary action.
This webinar is aimed at surveyors who are subject to RICS regulation, wherever they are located. It will explain in practical terms what the rules say, with examples of how surveyors can ensure that they are demonstrating the ethical principles of honesty, integrity, competence, service, respect, and responsibility on which the rules are based.
