Sponsor Compliance & Obligations - Don’t Get Caught Out!

Introduction

As Home Office sponsor compliance visits have ramped up since the end of the pandemic, this virtual classroom seminar will be essential for anyone who needs to grapple with sponsorship. Where serious non-compliance is found, the Home Office can downgrade, suspend or revoke an organisation’s sponsor licence. In addition, civil penalties for illegal working have now risen to £60,000 per illegal worker.

This session will examine both the sponsor compliance issues to consider before even assigning any Certificates of Sponsorship, as well as the ongoing sponsor compliance obligations. It will also look at the common pitfalls to avoid and provide some practical tips to assist with sponsor compliance.

Part of the session will examine some of the trickier aspects of sponsorship, particularly where selecting the SOC Code or determining the minimum salary required may not be straightforward.
