SRA AML Training Thematic Review - Adopting the ‘ROLE’ Framework
Introduction
Despite the MLR 2017 and LSAG guidance emphasising the need to ensure all relevant employees receive regular AML training, the SRA continue to find that some law firms are not adequately training their staff and/or that the training records kept are insufficient. They are levying hefty fines as a result.
In 2024, the SRA conducted a thematic review regarding AML training. Released in October 2024, the subsequent report makes for interesting reading.
This short webinar will look at how the SRA conducted the review and what their findings were in relation to good and poor practices.
Ideal for MLROs, MLCOs and their deputies, compliance and learning development professionals, this webinar will also explore the SRA’s new ROLE (Relatable, Ongoing, Leadership, and Engaging) framework, which firms are being encouraged to adopt to make AML training more effective.
