The Building Safety Act - 18 Months On
Introduction
Updated for mid 2024, this 4-hour course covers 8 key BSA topics which everyone in industry needs to be conversant with. The Act is extensive, with many off-shoots of secondary legislation, and its implementation has been incremental. Industry is now waking up to its importance.
The BSA encompasses measures for resident safety and security, new rights and responsibilities on industry developers, builders and designers, as well as new obligations for industry competency, risk assessment and building certification plus a higher-risk regime. To support this, 3 new Regulators have been empowered.
The seminar will catalyse your thinking to draw together threads of ‘levelling up’ and government ambition which are at the heart of the BSA, following the Grenfell tragedy and the work done since.
