Untangling ESG Compliance in Corporate Governance
Introduction
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria are playing an ever more important role in capital markets around the world.
The new policies and regulations which exist, such as for example the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation for Financial Institutions and the proposal for a new Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDD) place increased focus on how investors and corporations are called to address ESG.
A key challenge that actors are being faced with is the absence of consistency in the information requested by investors and ESG reporting frameworks.
This new virtual classroom seminar will provide a series of definitions and sources relating to ESG regulation and examine how they relate to board and organisation operations within the corporate governance context.
On completion of the session, you will be in a position to better advise clients on issues relating to ESG, corporate sustainability reporting and the role these play in corporate governance, accountability and compliance.
