Family Based Visas - Recent Developments & Best Practice
Introduction
Since visit appeal rights were cancelled again, and ever since the Immigration Rules were overhauled in 2012 when Appendix FM and Appendix FM-SE were introduced for Article 8 family life applications, it has become essential to ensure that applications are well-prepared and evidentially comprehensive.
More than 10 years on, the Government has announced and will implement major changes to the Minimum Income Rules required to sponsor family members and/or dependants.
This webinar will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the most relevant categories and accompanying requirements for family-based applications, whether the purpose of the visa is temporary or more long-term, including the sponsoring income changes.
This session will provide immigration lawyers with a useful introduction to, and refresher on, the recent announcements and changes.
