Howard Hackney

Howard was previously a partner at Grant Thornton for over 25 years and Head of Family Businesses in the UK before setting up his own boutique practice in 2008. He focusses on providing advisory only services to mid market family businesses and professional practices across the UK from his base in the North West of England and in London and the South East. He is a former winner of the CBI sponsored national Best Business Adviser of the Year. Recent assignments have included succession planning for four caravan parks, family business dispute resolution, acting as “honest broker” in merger negotiations, fund raisings to implement a demerger and to arrange a “cash out” transaction together with IHT planning, tax structuring and residency and offshore issues. Howard is a regular speaker at conferences, seminars and webinars and contributor to the print and broadcast media.
