Advising Adults at Risk of Abuse or Neglect - A Live Workshop with Caroline Bielanska
Introduction
This new virtual classroom seminar is suitable for lawyers who advise adults living in vulnerable circumstances who may be at risk or experiencing abuse or neglect, which may result in them seeking to enter legal transactions they would not otherwise make or failing to take steps to protect themselves.
The workshop will focus on a series of real-life case studies, which will form the basis of the session and allow delegates to identify practical solutions and get a better understanding of responsibilities of the safeguarding organisations.
What You Will Learn
This live and interactive course will cover the following case studies:
- Predatory romance relationships and marriage
- The donor client who makes successive lasting powers
- The donor client who has been financially abused by their attorney
- The client who refuses care support
- The spouse who does not want their spouse with dementia to return home
- The dominant and controlling carer
- The care home failing to provide appropriate care
Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
