Lasting Powers of Attorney - Drafting for Use Not Abuse
Introduction
According to the Office of the Public Guardian most LPAs do not contain any instructions or preferences, even when drafted by professionals.
Inclusion of suitable provision reduces the risk of misuse as the attorney is made aware of how they should make decisions, and third parties are on notice of how they should act, which ensures that the attorney is held to account for poor decision making.
This new virtual classroom seminar is aimed at fee earners who advise and draft lasting powers of attorney.
