Introduction

The Long-Term Asset Fund (‘LTAF’), is a UK authorised fund structure designed to give investors, including mass market retail investors, access to investment in illiquid assets where previously such asset classes were restricted to these categories of investors.

This new virtual classroom seminar is suitable for investment fund managers, sponsors, investment advisers, and operators of investment funds, who are considering offering products using the LTAF structure and require an overview of the legal and regulatory issues relevant to establishing an LTAF.

The session is also suitable for lawyers, FCA regulated persons and professionals working in the financial services industry.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • Background to the LTAF
  • The legal structures an LTAF can take
  • What assets can an LTAF invest in?
  • Operational aspects including borrowing, liquidity, redemptions and subscriptions
  • Governance of an LTAF
  • The authorisation processes
  • Marketing and distribution
  • Required documentation for an LTAF
  • Current LTAF products on the market

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
