Introduction

MVLs remain a popular option where the company is solvent but has reached the end of its useful purpose.

They can offer a tax efficient way for the company members to extract the value, and the number of MVLs can often peak before a budget or a general election, or at the end of a particular tax year.

MVL are distinct from CVLs as creditors should be paid in full within 12 months and this new virtual classroom seminar will explain what you need to know.

It will cover pre appointment, the appointment itself, what it means for the various parties involved and things to consider once the liquidator is appointed.

The session is suitable for both lawyers and insolvency practitioners.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • What the different types of liquidation are, how they are different and how they are linked
  • How to go through the process of placing a company into MVL
  • What difficulties can arise
  • Why an MVL might be chosen as the preferred option
  • What needs to be done immediately after the appointment of the IP?
  • How the liquidation affects members, creditors, employees, and directors
  • What happens once the liquidator has completed their work on the MVL?

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
