Introduction

On 1 January 2024, the UK Intellectual Property Office (‘UKIPO’) address for service rules will change.

Proprietors of comparable trade marks and re-registered designs will be required to provide a UK address for service if contentious proceedings are launched challenging those rights.

This short webinar will explain the rule changes.

What You Will Learn

This webinar will cover the following:

  • What the current address for service rules for comparable trade marks and re-registered designs are, and how these will change
  • Why these changes have been introduced
  • What steps proprietors of these rights must take in response to the changes, and by when
  • The risks of proprietors failing to act

This webinar was recorded on 20th December 2023
