Introduction

Noise induced hearing loss remains one of the biggest areas of industrial disease and the witness statement is probably one of the most important aspects of running a successful claim. The witness statement will set out the claimants’ case in regards to liability, causation, limitation, and quantum.

This webinar will demonstrate how to write a well drafted witness statement which should encourage a defendant to make an offer of settlement; allow an acoustic engineer to provide a positive report; and present the Claimants’ case in the best light to a judge if the matter goes to trial.

What You Will Learn

This webinar will cover the following:

  • What the CPR demands of a witness statement
  • Eliciting important information from the claimant to be able to draft a witness statement
  • How to set out the skeleton of a witness statement
  • Areas of the witness statement which are important to be focused on to encourage settlement, allow an acoustic engineer to provide a positive report and give the Claimant the best opportunity of settlement at trial

This pre-recorded webinar will be available to view from Friday 25th July 2025
