Introduction

This new virtual classroom seminar will cover the concepts behind Sharia succession laws, including how to help clients who want a Sharia compliant will.

It will also explain some of the difficulties that standard estate planning can cause for Sharia clients.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • Concepts of Sharia succession laws including who inherits what
  • The ‘freely disposable third’ for non-heirs and charities
  • Gifts made on death bed and during terminal illness
  • How to prepare a Sharia compliant will
  • Standard estate planning concepts (e.g. joint property) and how these cause difficulties for Sharia clients
  • Avoiding family disputes and using deeds of variation

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
